Kombucha organic SCOBY made with organic raw cane sugar and organic green tea and live active culture.
The sugar is to feed the SCOBY and can be reduced to trace amounts during fermentation. SCOBY contains the beneficial bacteria and yeast needed to kick-start the fermentation process. The result is a tangy, lightly effervescent kombucha drink packed with probiotics and other health benefits.
The sugar are converted to healthy polyphenols and other beneficial acids and the caffeine molecules are altered so that it’s not as potent as freshly brewed tea.
Rehydrated organic SCOBY (Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria & Yeast) in a sealed BPA free zip lock pouch, sufficient to make a 1 litre batch.
Make tea with organic tea of your choice with organic sugar. for 1 litre two tea bags with half a cup sugar. Let the tea cool and add to your scoby in a 1 litre glass bottle. Cover with cheese cloth and secure with a rubber band let it ferment for 5 to 7days. Time will vary depending on the temperature.
